George Clooney Honored for Philanthropy Work at the Carousel of Hope Ball

Barbara Davis, widow of billionaire and former owner of 20th Century Fox Marvin Davis, talked with reporters about why she wanted to honor George Clooney at this year's Carousel of Hope Ball which benefits research for a cure for children's diabetes. (Aaron Spelling based the character of Blake Carrington in the hit show Dynasty on Marvin Davis.)

Barbara said that George inspired her to take action and convince major drug companies to send free drugs to Haiti after the earthquake. Shirley MacLaine presented the award to George, who thanked Barbara. Never serious for long, George joked about Barbara's fortune and threatened to sing opera later in the program. Take a look:
