Gerard Butler Talks Olympus Has Fallen on Today Show

Gerard Butler stopped by the Today show to talk to Matt Lauer about his new action film, Olympus Has Fallen. In the film, the White House is taken in a stealth attack by North Korean terrorists and the President (Arron Eckhart) is kidnapped. Butler plays a disgraced former Presidential guard who is inside the White House when the attack takes place.

Matt Lauer asked Butler how he managed to get North Korea to start making major threats just before the release of the film. Butler, "It's not so much me, we have a very powerful publicity department." He also says they called Dennis Rodman.

Butler talked about his Scottish accent. He said he had to work very hard to be able to do an authentic American accent. He says his friends make fun of him back home because he sometimes switches back and forth between an American and Scottish accent. Take a look:
