Giant Lady Bathes in Hamburg's Alster Lake

Unsuspecting boaters were shocked to find a giant woman reclining in Alster Lake in Hamburg, Germany. British beauty brand Soap & Glory sponsored the creation of the giant sculpture. The statue is known as Die Badende, which means "The Bather." It was built by artist Oliver Voss.
The sculpture has already created a stir in Hamburg. The Daily Mail reports that Hamburg district Mayor Markus Schreiber says the giant lady statue is "sullying the beloved lake." The sculpture is temporary and will only remain in the lake for ten days.
