Girl Sends Hello Kitty Into Space for Science Project

Lauren Rojas, 13, sent Hello Kitty into space inside of a rocket for her science project. The rocket containing Hello Kitty was attached to a weather balloons so it could reach an altitude of nearly 18 miles above the ground. Lauren's contraption also included a parachute, GPS and four GoPro cameras, which provided some clear images of Hello Kitty floating in space inside the rocket. Lauren says it took 3 hours to locate Hello Kitty after she returned to Earth. Take a look:
