Hillary Clinton Admitted to Hospital For Blood Clot

Posted on December 30, 2012

CNN reports that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been hospitalized with a blood clot. Earlier this month Hillary was suffering from a severe stomach virus. She became dehydrated and fainted, hitting her head. She suffered a concussion and has been recovering at home.

Hillary's spokesman Philippe Reines, the deputy assistant secretary of state, said that the clot was found during a follow up exam after the concussion. He did not say where the blood clot is. She is being treated with anticoagulants to dissolve the clot and will be in the hospital for 48 hours. Reines said, "Her doctors will continue to assess her condition, including other issues associated with her concussion. They will determine if any further action is required."

There have been all kinds of wild rumors about Hillary's illness. John Bolton claimed she faked the illness so she didn't have to testify about Benghazi, which is ridiculous. The National Enquirer claims she has brain cancer, which her spokesman vehemently denied.

A blood clot is a very serious matter, but we're sure she's getting the best of care at New York Presbyterian Hospital. We wish her a full and speedy recovery.
