Hugh Grant Talks Being a Father, Reveals Baby's Chinese Name

Posted on April 27, 2012

Hugh Grant was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. He is fighting some kind of cold, but he was still hilarious. Hugh discussed being a new father. His daughter's English name is Tabitha. She also has a Chinese name, because her mother is Chinese. Hugh revealed that everyone was right about having kids, and he loves being a dad:

"It's very nice. I can't pretend it wasn't a little bit of a surprise but, it's a very nice surprise. In fact, the baby's name in Chinese because her mother is Chinese means 'happy surprise.' Ellen asked him what the Chinese name is, and he replied, "Jingxi. It's one of the baby's names."

Hugh admitted, "It's surprising that everyone was right all these years. Saying 'Hugh, why don't you have some children. It changes your life.' And, you're thinking, oh shut up. And now that I have [a child] it is life changing. I recommend it. Get some."
