Hugh Jackman Explains His Oprah Ziplining Accident

Hugh Jackman is making the rounds to promote his new family-friendly film Real Steel, which is like Rocky with robots. Hugh stopped by The David Letterman Show this week. Letterman asked Hugh exactly what happened when he did that dangerous ziplining entrance for The Oprah Winfrey Show in Australia. Hugh said he was going pretty slowly, and wasn't sure the brake was working.

The tech guy told him, "the faster you go, the better the brakes work" which is ridiculous. Hugh narrowly escaped a very serious injury, but he just laughed it off. He said he was worried because his kids were in the audience.

After the accident his son turned to his mother and asked, "Why can't we be a normal family?" which is really funny. Take a look:
