JCPenney Partners With Conde Nast to Launch Modern Bride Jewelry
Posted on October 6, 2010J. C. Penney Company has announced a collaboration with Conde Nast to launch Modern Bride brand. Conde Nast has licensed the brand name to JCPenney for use in all categories. Fine jewelry will be the first to launch in February 2011. The collection will include an assortment of bridal jewelry including rings and wedding bands. Modern Bride will be targeted primarily to the 25-34 year-old customer.
Myron E. (Mike) Ullman, III, chairman and chief executive officer of JCPenney, said, "Conde Nast's deep understanding of the bridal market and valuable direct connection to potential customers make them the ideal partner, allowing JCPenney to cater to brides who will appreciate the Modern Bride name and continue to shop with JCPenney beyond their wedding day."
