Johnson & Johnson Changing Tylenol Packaging to Warn Consumers to Read the Label

New Tylenol Bottle

Tylenol is changing its packaging to help make consumers more aware of acetaminophen overdose risks. The new packaging will include red text on the cap of the bottle that says the pain reliever contains acetaminophen and consumers should "always read the label." The label itself warns consumers that overdosing on acetaminophen can lead to fatal liver injuries. It also warns consumers not to mix Tylenol with other drugs that contain acetaminophen.
