Posted on October 2, 2012
KitchenAid has announced the launch of its new Pro Line toaster. The toaster features seven shade settings ranging from light to dark and self-centering racks that adjust based on the thickness of the bread.
An Auto Sensor automatically lowers when bread is placed in the toaster slot. Toasting progress is indicated by an LED timer lights. A soft chime signals the completion of the toasting cycle. The bread is then automatically lifted to the top of the toaster. A "Keep Warm" cycle automatically lowers the toast if it is not removed in 45 seconds to keep it warm for up to three minutes. There is also a function called "A Little Longer," which automatically toasts bread one shade darker.
Additional features on the toaster include a Bagel function and a Frozen function to gently defrost frozen breads before toasting. The toaster features extra wide and long slots. It has an aluminum die cast body with chrome accents. It is available in three colors: Candy Apple Red, Medallion Silver and Onyx Black. 2-slice and 4-slice models are available for $399.99 and $499.99 respectively.
