Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon


Lenovo has announced the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon at CES 2014. Lenovo calls the it the world's lightest 14-inch ultrabook. Lenovo says the 2.8 pound device is forged from Carbon Fiber. Lenovo says the device is "practically indestructible" and survived eight military specification survival tests. Lenovo says, "you can laugh in the face of spills, drops, heat exposure, or anything else life throws your way."

Features of the new ThinkPad include the Adaptive Keyboard, which automatically changes the function keys depending on what application you're in. The device also features voice and gesture control.

Peter Hortensius, SVP and president, Think Business Group, Lenovo, said in a statement, "The ThinkPad X1 Carbon delivers a stunning user experience with the best professional display and new interactive methods and represents another step in our PC plus journey."

Prices for the ThinkPad X1 Carbon start at $1299. It will available at the end of this month.
