LG has announced the LG Lifeband Touch Activity Tracker. The device features a bright OLED display. It contains a triple-axis accelerometer and altimeter to provide real-time activity data. The Lifeband Touch can also be used to check caller ID information on incoming calls and text messages from a smartphone. The band's Touch Activity Tracker screen can also be used for music functions.

Tim Alessi, Director of New Product Development for Home Entertainment Products, LG Electronics USA, says in a statement, "Here at LG, we know that everyone is trying to live a healthier lifestyle, and we want to help make that as easy as possible. With the introduction of our wearable fitness products and the new LG Fitness app, users will be able to become more aware of their activity level and make smarter decisions on a daily basis to help impact their overall wellness."

The LG Lifeband Touch will be available at Fry's, HH Gregg, and Newegg starting in mid-June. It costs $149.99. LG also launched a Heart Rate Monitor Earphone.
