Lily Allen covers the June 2014 issue of Glamour UK. In the interview, Lily talks about returning to the music industry and having her husband's support. She also explains why she named her new album, Sheezus.
On Returning to Music: "I wasn't good at staying at home all day, it didn't suit me. I'm creative, it's just who I amů I missed the positive feedback about my music from my fans. I missed the rush of performing. I missed the free clothes and handbags and the good tables in posh restaurants. I did!"
On Having Her Husband's Support: "I was really worried about working and the pressure it was going to put us under, and it's actually made him more protective and more loving and more caring. He's there for me. It was a tough decision to make, a scary adjustment, and for the children. But my relationship with my husband is as strong as it's ever been. It's lovely to come home to."
On Sheezus: Lily also discusses naming her album, Sheezus, in the U.S. edition of Glamour. Lily says, "Because Kanye West, who I'm a massive fan of, had an album called Yeezus. I respect him for many different reasons, not just his music but also as a personality. What makes him Yeezus to me is that he is always open, honest, true to his word, and doesn't give a hmm-mmm what anybody thinks. If that makes him Yeezus, then I sure as hell will be Sheezus. What's the biggest lesson you've learned from fame? Don't believe your own hype. Also, be nice to everybody on your way up, because they're the people who are going to be there for you on your way down."
