Michelle Obama Looks Stunning in Ralph Lauren Gown at Dinner Honoring Queen Elizabeth

It was another fashion triumph for Michelle Obama this evening. President and Mrs. Obama hosted a dinner in honor of Queen Elizabeth. The dinner was held at Winfield House, the residence of the U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James. Michelle wore a stunning, off the shoulder evening gown by Ralph Lauren. She accesorized with her own diamond earrings, a tangled "diamond" necklace that looked like a Tom Binns piece and a diamond flower bracelet. Ready for any stray gusts of wind, Michelle wore her hair in a low chignon, with a side part. She looked fabulous.

Queen Elizabeth wore a lovely white evening gown which was embroidered with gold and silver sequins designed by Angela Kelly. She accessorized with an emerald necklace and earrings.

The Daily Mail reports that guests at the formal dinner included Prime Minister David Cameron and wife Samantha, David Beckham (his wife Victoria is quite pregnant and is at home in Los Angeles), Tom Hanks, Colin Firth, and JK Rowling.

The three course meal included lobster ravioli, griddled filet of aged Highland beef, crushed jersey royals with rosemary, asparagus and minted broad beans. Dessert was very American: pecan pie and brandy ice cream. After dinner, Kristin Chenoweth performed for the diners. CNN reports:
