Miss New York Nina Davuluri Crowned Miss America 2014

Miss New York Nina Davuluri has been crowned Miss America 2014. She's the first Indian-American to win the competition. Nina performed a Classical Bollywood Fusion dance for the talent portion of the competition.
Nina is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Her platform will be Celebrating Diversity through Cultural Competency and acting as the official National Goodwill Ambassador for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. She will also be the spokesperson for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) this year as she travels to Washington, DC to work with the Department of Education.

Miss California, Crystal Lee is the first runner-up. She earned a $25,000 scholarship. Miss Oklahoma, Kelsey Griswold is the second runner-up.
This is the second consecutive winner from New York. Miss New York Mallory Hytes won in 2013.
