Mohamed Al Fayed: Harrods is Not for Sale
Posted on March 31, 2010There have been rumors that a sale of the Harrods store in London to Qatar Holding was being explored. The Guardian reports that Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed says the iconic London store is not for sale. Mohamed Al Fayed says Harrods, "is not for sale and is not being sold." The Guardian says staff at Harrods in London were also informed that the store would not be sold.
Rumors that Harrods had talked to Qatar Holding were not confirmed or denied. A statement was issued that said, "That is neither to confirm nor deny that any discussions have taken place to sell the store."
