New Report Finds Protein Supplements Full of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury and Arsenic

A schocking new study found that overuse of some protein drinks could result in negative health effects. Overdosing on protein supplements can lead to all kinds of health issues. But it gets worse. Consumer Reports tested the major protein supplements on the market: they all contained one or more of the heavy metals lead, cadmium, arsenic and/or mercury. These heavy metals are all toxic to humans, and are known carcinogens. Eas Myoplex (arsenic, cadmium), Muscle Milk Chocolate (cadmium, lead) and Muscle Milk Vanilla Creme (lead) were the worst offenders. CBS' Susan Koeppen reports:
