The Nintendo World store will be undergoing a major renovation this month and into February. The store will reopen on February 19th with a new look. The two-floor store first opened in 2005.

Nintendo says the store will host a series of giveaways and appearances by costumed characters, including Mario and Luigi, the weekend of the reopening. The newly designed store will feature a 15-foot gaming screen. It will also include an updated interior design with new Wii U and Nintendo 3DS demo units.

One of the cool features in the new store is a large bronze coin that will be located the entrance to the store. It features the store's tagline, "Where everyone comes to play." The coin also contains the year 1889 - the year Nintendo was founded. It was originally a Japanese playing card company.
