The iPhone X is a new premium smartphone from Apple. Limited availability of the smartphone has buyers turning to eBay where some sellers are looking to make a profit on their iPhone X purchase. The iPhone X went up for pre-order yesterday and sold out within minutes. The Daily Mail called the lack of iPhone X devices a "catastrophic stock shortage."

TechCrunch reports that the iPhone X is going for an average of around $1,500 on eBay. They reported yesterday that there were about 4,800 live listings. That number has grown to nearly 8,000 as of this writing. It won't be a surprise to see it reach 10,000 by the end of the weekend.

You can find the eBay iPhone X page here. Hopefully, Apple will be able to find a way to catch back up with demand quickly. It is great for them there is strong interest in the X phone but disappointed would-be buyers might turn to another brand if they are put off for too long.
