Ori Systems robotic room

Robotic rooms originally created by MIT researchers are available for pre-order through a company named Ori Systems. Ori uses modular robotics that enables furniture and spaces to adapt to you and your needs. The modular furniture moves around and features sliding components. For example, furniture may slide to reveal a bed at night or a desk can slide out to create a workspace.

Verge reports that MIT debuted the concept as CityHome in 2014. It is available for $10,000 in several cities in two sizes, Ori Full and Ori Queen. The automated modular robotics system includes a bed, workstation, draws, closet and storage. A couch is included in the Queen-sized version. The furniture is controlled using the Ori control interface or the Ori app. Ori also responds to voice requests.

This video from Ori explains how the room transforms to meet your needs.
