A new report from CNBC citing Dow Jones says Apple will unveil the iPhone 8 at an event on September 12. The event has not yet been confirmed by Apple. The photograph above shows Apple's new Apple Orchard Road store in Singapore. The recently opened store features a 120-foot glass facade and 16 interior trees.

There have been many rumors about the upcoming iPhone. MacRumors has a feature covering many of these rumors. The big rumor is a major redesign that is expected to be an OLED display that encompasses all or nearly all of the front of the phone for an edge-to-edge display. Other rumored features include induction-based wireless charging, facial recognition and 3D sensing capabilities. Another significant rumor is that Apple will remove the Home button.

A less appealing rumor is the more expensive price. CNBC says rumors suggest the new phone could start at $1,000. It could be that there is one premium OLED model and other standard models that are not as expensive. We will all find out soon with the iPhone 8 event just a couple weeks away.
