Nintendo Announces SNES Classic Edition With 21 Pre-Installed Games

Posted on June 27, 2017

Nintendo has announced the Super NES Classic Edition. The mini 16-bit system will launch on September 29, 2017. The mini console contains 21 pre-installed classic Nintendo games. It plugs into any HDTV using the included HDMI cable. The launch of the Super NES Classic comes shortly after Nintendo discontinued its popular NES Classic mini console.

The system will also include Star Fox 2, a game that was never previously released. Some of the other titles are Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Kirby Super STar, Star Fox, Donkey Kong Country, Super Castlevania IV and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

The console will arrive in stores on September 29. It will cost $79.99. It is likely to be popular as there was strong demand for the discontinued and hard-to-find mini NES Classic.
