Padma Lakshmi, Chef Carla Hall Create Power at Duracell's Mobile Smart Power Lab
Posted on December 19, 2010
Top Chef judge Padma Lakshmi and Top Chef contestant Carla Hall helped power the New Year at the Duracell Mobile Smart Power Lab in Madison Square Park in New York City. Carla also provided pedalers with recipe cards for her holiday versions of Pumpkin Bisque and Parmesan Shortbread. With each push of the pedal at the Mobile Smart Power Lab, human energy is captured, converted into usable power, and stored in Duracell Batteries. Duracell will use the power generated to light the 2011 numerals in Times Square on New Year's Eve.
"I am so pleased to have helped power the New Year with Duracell along with sharing my favorite recipes for healthy, filling food for those that came down to help us today," said Chef Hall.
