Peter Jackson Posts Last Production Video Blog for The Hobbit

Peter Jackson has posted the last of the very interesting production videos for The Hobbit. In this video, we get a tour of the post production facilities, which are massive and housed in a former insane asylum in New Zealand. From editors to conceptual artists to sound designers to sound editors, the number of people required to finish the film is staggering.

At Abbey Road in London, a full orchestra records the music for the film. In the final mix room back in New Zealand, the sound editors make the final decisions about the mix of music, sound effects and dialogue. Jackson says the film is scheduled to be finished just two weeks before the premiere. The deadlines are tight and the crew gets a little crazy, but it will all be worth it when the film finally premieres. We can't wait. Take a look:
