PetSmart to Carry National Geographic Branded Products Starting Spring 2014

National Geographic and PetSmart have announced a deal that makes PetSmart the exclusive retailer for a new line of National Geographic branded pet products. These products will include habitats, accessories and food for fish, reptiles, birds and small pets, such as the cute hamster pictured above. National Geographic will also provide content for pet owners, including information on pet diets, habitats and natural behaviors. National Geographic will use the net proceeds to support the conservation of animals and their habitats.
Terry Garcia, executive vice president of National Geographic Mission Programs and president of Licensing, said in a statement, "Pets play an important role in inspiring people to learn about animals and their natural environments. Through this partnership, National Geographic will combine its extensive research with PetSmartís deep commitment to pets and offer products that create fun, educational experiences for people and families who love pets."
