Pizza Hut Launches New Restaurant Format

Pizza Hut has launched new restaurant concepts in York, Neb. and Pawtucket, R.I. The new fast-casual concept stores include digital menu boards, deck ovens and an open seating environment. The concept stores also feature a "pizza by the slice" bar. The pizza by the slice bar will offer chef-inspired recipes alongside traditional favorites like cheese and pepperoni. The slices are cut from 18-inch pizzas. The York store will also offer sauteed pasta and made to order salad stations.
Carrie Walsh, chief marketing officer, Pizza Hut, said in the announcement, "The dine-in experience is a very important part of our business, and these incredibly fresh, beautiful new locations further advance our desire to provide the best experience possible for our customers. Plus, specifically in the Northeast where by the slice is more prevalent, this concept enables us to enter a competitive environment like that with a very competitive product that we think consumers will love."
