Pumpkin House Features 3,000 Hand Carved Jack-O-Lanterns

Mayor Ric Griffith of Kenova, West Virginia, has a very interesting Halloween tradition where thousands of people come togehter to carve 3,000 jack-0-lanterns. It's a rush to get all the pumpkins carved, but everyone pitches in. At night, it's an amazing sight.

The mayor talks about each person having a job, "People can rinse them, they can carry them, they can help scoop them. They don't have to be artists, we do the drawings, but we just have them carve them with the jigsaws. This is getting the community involved, and helping us present this, and it's always fun to have the kids and the adults help us."
