PuppyMonkeyBaby From Mountain Dew Super Bowl Ad Becomes Doll and Halloween Costume

Posted on May 28, 2016

The weird PuppyMonkeyBaby creature from the Mountain Dew Super Bowl 50 commercial is now a doll. The strange creature has baby legs, monkey arms and a puppy face.

Mountain Dew licensed PuppyMonkeyBaby to Commonwealth Toys & Novelty through its licensing agency, The Joester Loria Group (JLG). License Magazine warns that there will also be other plush toys, bobbleheads and key chains.

Joanne Loria, executive vice president, JLG. "Commonwealth has an uncanny ability to spot hot properties and emerging trends, and we are thrilled to partner with them for PuppyMonkeyBaby."

The doll is available for pre-order from the Commonwealth Toy Store for $29.95. It is 14-inch tall. The site says the doll is for ages 14 and up. Clearly, PuppyMonkeyBaby is simply too frightening for anyone under 14.

In addition to the toy, there are also shirts and costumes available. Before buying a costume you have to really ponder the question, Do you really want to be PuppyMonkeyBaby?

Commonwealth says the PuppyMonkeyBaby ad was the most viewed of Super Bowl 50. Forbes argues that it was also the best commercial. Here it is in case you missed it or want to see it again:
