Rabbit Sculpture Hidden Inside Ear of New Nelson Mandela Statue

There is a rabbit sculpture inside the ear of the new nine meter (nearly 30 feet) bronze statue of Nelson Mandela in Pretoria, South Africa. South African officials don't like the rabbit and want it removed from the statue immediately. However, some tourists think the rabbit gives the statue a special touch.

BBC News reports that sculptors Andre Prinsloo and Ruhan Janse van Vuuren added the rabbit because the Department of Arts and Culture would not let them put their signatures on the statue. The artists also say the rabbit represents the short time frame they were given to complete the sculpture. Take a look:
