Red Carpet Fashions for the 2011 Critics' Choice Movie Awards

Posted on January 15, 2011

Awards season continues in full force. At the 2011 Critics' Choice Movie Awards last night at the Hollywood Palladium, there was a mix of long and short gowns. The hair was mostly simple and subdued. There was a lot of black and white, although Kim Kardashian went for a bold orange gown.

Nicole Kidman wore a black gown by Nina Ricci and diamond earrings by Fred Leighton. Natalie Portman looked absolutely lovely in a white strapless column gown with black accents made by Gianfranco Ferre. She wore her hair in an updo and accessorized with jewelry by Fred Leighton, shoes by Stella McCartney and an evening bag by Dior.

Michelle Williams wore a white Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquiere gown. She accessorized with Fred Leighton jewelry and Ferragamo heels. Amy Adams wore a blue and green silk cocktail dress with an asymmetrical neckline. She accessorized with $120,000 worth of Cartier jewelry.

Mila Kunis wore a short black cocktail dress by Nina Ricci, darling black heels with ankle straps by Giuseppe Zanotti and jewelry by Ofira. Kim Kardashian wore an orange sunset hued silk gown by Vera Wang which featured a plunging neckline and a ruffled mermaid hem. We have to admit we were a bit surprised when we learned Vera made that gown.

The men mostly went for a conservative look. Jeremy Renner said that it was the critics' Choice Awards that helped The Hurt Locker last year. Jon Hamm, Ryan Gosling and Quentin Tarantino also made appearance.
