Reese Witherspoon Issues Apology Following Disorderly Conduct Arrest

Reese Witherspoon and her agent husband Jim Toth were arrested Friday night in Atlanta. Toth was pulled over on suspicion of a DUI after being spotted crossing into another lane by police. He blew .139 on a Breathalyzer test. Reese apparently became agitated by how long the situation was taking and she started making comments to the officer. Her comments led to her being handcuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct.
Reese's mugshot is pictured above. Reese did not look directly at the camera. It is certainly one of the better celebrity mugshots.
Variety reports that Reese started hanging of the window and told the officer that she did not believe he was a real police officer. She also left the vehicle and asked the officer, "Do you know my name?" Reese also told the officer he was going to be on national news.
Reese has already issued an apology for the incident. She says she is deeply embarrassed for what she said to the police officer. Here is her statement:
"Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said. It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."
