Retailers Offer Green Monday Deals

Posted on December 10, 2012

Green MondayToday is known as Green Monday on the Internet. Green Monday falls on the second Monday in December. The shopping day was reportedly coined by eBay in 2007 to designate its busiest day.

USA Today reports that FedEx expects this to be its biggest shipping day of the year, partly because many items sold on Cyber Monday are still shipping. Time is reporting that over $1 billion in online sales is expected today.

Retailers have started offering deals similar to Cyber Monday deals on Green Monday. The number of retailers participating has been growing each year, but it is still much smaller than either Black Friday or Cyber Monday. However, there are major retailers like Amazon and Walmart participating.
