RIM to Run BlackBerry 10 Super Bowl Ad

Research in MotionResearch in Motion (RIM) wants to get back on track with its BlackBerry 10 platform. The company is hoping a Super Bowl ad will help draw consumer attention to its new model. CNNMoney reports that RIM will run a 30-second ad during Super Bowl XLVII.

Research In Motion chief marketing officer Frank Boulben said in a statement, "A Super Bowl commercial, is a great opportunity to show the re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry to tens of millions of consumers on the largest advertising stage of the year."

Research in Motion will unveil its first two BlackBerry 10 smartphones on Wednesday, January 30th. The company needs its new technology to be a hit in order for it to make a comeback.
