Rooney Mara walks red carpet in Givenchy at 2016 Oscars

Rooney Mara walked the red carpet at the 2016 Oscars. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Carol, in which she co-starred with Cate Blanchett. Rooney looked quite elegant in her sheer lace white gown which was custom made for her by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Haute Couture.

The gown featured a high neck, buttons on the bodice, a geometric cutout at the waist, long sleeves, a thigh high slit in the front and a ruffled train. Rooney accessorized with vintage diamond rings by Fred Leighton. She wore her hair in an edgy three bun style by hairstylist Adir Abergel, which was quite futuristic. Paired with her flawless skin and vivid crimson lips (Chanel Aqua Crayon Lip Colour Stick in Cinnamon and Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in La Sensuelle), she really stood out.

Rooney took her father Chris to the Oscars. On the red carpet she talked about being close to her sister Kate Mara, who also is an actress. She said they would love to work together, but haven't found the right project.
