Samsung has targeted the iPad mini with the launch of the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet at the Mobile World Congress. The 8-inch tablet in powered by Android. It features a 1280 x 800 display, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and 5-megapixel back and 1.3-megapixel front cameras. It also comes with Samsung's S-Pen stylus. You can find more specs in Samsung's official spec sheet.

The large tablet can also function as a phone. Gizmodo says you can hold the Galaxy Note 8.0 to your head and use it as a phone, but they don't think many people will use it this way. You can also use a bluetooth headset with the phone/tablet. Phones are starting to get bigger again it seems.
