Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Basset Walk the Red Carpet for the Premiere of Mountaintop

Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett walked the red carpet for the premiere of their new Broadway play The Mountaintop. The play depicts Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (Jackson), on the eve of his assassination. Dr. King has returned to the Lorraine Motel on April 3, 1968. He had just delivered his famous "Mountaintop" speech, and now is tired. He just wants to have a smoke and relax a bit. Angela Bassett plays a hotel maid who has a number of conversations with Dr. King, who talks about his hopes and fears for his future, his movement and the state of America.

Samuel says he hopes the play will resound with the people see it. Angela said it's a gift to have a part like this which is meaningful and profound. Take a look:
