Sears and Kmart Remove Trump Home Items From Online Stores

Posted on February 11, 2017

The Trump Organization founded by Donald Trump has a home furnishings devision called Trump Home. Trump Home makes bedding, furniture, lighting, mirrors and chandeliers. Sears and Kmart used to carry some products from Trump Home but recently removed the items from sears.com and kmart.com.

Business Insider reports that the products are no longer available on the sites from Sears and Kmart. A total of 31 products were removed this week. There are some Trump Home items still available through third-party sellers.

A Sears Holdings spokesperson told Business Insider, "As part of the company's initiative to optimize its online product assortment, we constantly refine that assortment to focus on our most profitable items."

The removal of products by Sears Holdings follows closely the decision by several retailers to stop carrying Ivanka Trump's fashion products. Neiman Marcus has stopped carrying Ivanka Trump's jewelry and Nordstrom has stopped carrying her clothing and shoes.

There are still Trump Home items sold at a number of online retailers including Amazon, Homeclick, Houzz, Newegg and Walmart. The Trump Home Collection Velvet Throw pictured above is described as "ultra plush" with a "touch of class" and a "rich and inviting sheen."

Update: President Trump later got some revenge and weighed on the Sears bankruptcy.
