Posted on June 6, 2011

Apple iCloudApple CEO Steve Jobs emerged from medical leave today to discuss iCloud, Apple's new service that lets people store files on Apple's servers. iCloud will enable you to store your music, movies, photos and other files and have it available instantly on all your gadgets, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, PC, etc. Apple says when anything changes on one of your devices, all of your devices are wirelessly updated almost instantly. Apple says no syncing is required for your devices to update.

iCloud users will get up to 5GB of free storage. Apple says storage for music, apps and books purchased from Apple doesn't count towards this 5GB total. Users will be able to buy more storage - details on the pricing will be announced when iCloud ships this fall. You can read more about iCloud here on apple.com.
