Sumatran Tiger Cubs Go Exploring at ZSL Zoo London

Three Sumatran tiger cubs were born recently at ZSL Zoo London. This was great news because Sumatran trigers are a critically endangered species. The seven-week-old cubs can be seen exploring the outdoor paddock for the first time in this video.

Zookeeper Tracey Lee says, "We were watching the cubs on the hidden cameras in their dens, when it looked like they were about to follow Melati outside - we all rushed to the exhibit and were just thrilled to catch them playing outside for the first time."

The mother of the cubs is named Melati. You can see the very first video of the cubs here. Melati let the cubs explore but she wouldn't let them go too far away from the entrance. Take a look:
