The Couple That is Addicted to Coffee Enemas

Posted on February 8, 2013

TLC's show My Strange Addiction is well into the new season. In one episode the show profiles Mike and Trina, a couple who live in St. Petersburg, Florida. They spend hours and hours each day preparing and administering coffee enemas to themselves. They each make coffee, grab a hose and head into their separate bathrooms. They tweet or read while they infuse themselves with coffee. Trina told ABC News, "I love the way it makes me feel. It gives me a sense of euphoria." They won't travel or leave their homes for long because it would mean missing a coffee infusion. They work at home so it's easy to spend all day on their bizarre ritual. Some people think coffee enemas can heal everything from cancer to IBS. Doctors say it's a terrible idea. The coffee can burn your intestines and cause all kinds of other problems including infection. Clearly they are addicted. Take a look:
