The Duchess of Cambridge Spends Valentine's Day Visiting Charities in Liverpool

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, spent Valentine's Day away from her husband Prince William. William in on assignment in the Falkland Islands. She spent her day in Liverpool visiting a number of charities. The Daily Mail reports that she first visited The Brink, an alcohol-free bar set up for recovering addicts. The bar is run by Action on Addiction. Catherine tried out a smoothie made with bananas, almonds, honey, milk and a bit of cream. They named the drink the Duchess in her honor.

The Duchess looked lovely in a black sweater dress and a brown double crepe belted wool coat, both from Hobbs. The coat retails for 369 pounds sterling. She accessorized with earrings by Kiki McDonough earrings. Here she visits the bar and tries out the smoothie named after her. After this visit she spent hours at a children's cancer ward, talking to patients and their families. Take a look:
