Water Lilies Forever stamps

The U.S. Postal Service has launched its Water Lilies Forever stamps. The new stamps were dedicated at the Garfield-Perry March Party Stamp Show in Cleveland. The four stamps in the collection show close-ups of four different garden water lilies.

The stamp images were selected by art director Phil Jordan. They are based on photographs by Cindy Dyer at the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens in Washington, DC.

The Postal Service says it printed half a billion Water Lilies Forever stamps in anticipating of strong consumer demand. Most stamps only get a print run of 20 million to 40 million.
