2014 Love Stamp

The U.S. Postal Service has unveiled its 2014 Love Stamp. Actress Bella Thorne helped with the stamp launch and spoke at the event. The Cut Paper Heart Stamp takes its inspiration from the folk traditions of papercutting. The Postal Service held a workshop about creating handmade valentines at the stamp dedication ceremony.

The stamp image contains a large white heart enclosing a smaller pink heart with a saw-toothed edge along its left-hand side. Pink swirls with small hearts in theme are located above and below the center hearts. The hearts and swirls are contained in a red square and white border frames the entire design. The stamp was designed by Art director Antonio Alcala. It features an illustration by Q. Cassetti.
