U2 is giving away a free single, Invisible, on Super Bowl Sunday. The single will be available through iTunes. Bank of America will donate $1 to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria for every download (up to $10 million). The $10 million is being matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

60 seconds of the "Invisible" music video will air during a commercial break. The video is directed by Mark Romanek.

U2 calls the single release a sneak preview of its upcoming album. Bono told Rolling Stone, "We have another song we're excited about to kick off the album. This is just sort of a sneak preview - to remind people we exist."
