UPS Fails to Deliver Christmas Packages on Time
Posted on December 25, 2013Christmas is here but not everyone has received their expected packages from UPS. The package carrier released the following statement indicating it was unable to get everyone their deliveries in time. UPS says demand was much greater than it expected.
"UPS understands the importance of your holiday shipments. All of our drivers are out making deliveries throughout the day and into the evening. The volume of air packages in our system exceeded the capacity of our network as demand was much greater than the forecast, resulting in some shipments being delayed. We expect a vast majority of these packages will be delivered the day after Christmas. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. CNN says some Amazon.com customers received a message regarding a "failure in the UPS transportation network" along with offers for refunded shipping charges and/or gift cards.
