Sony Unveils Sleek Vaio Z Canvas Laptop

Vaio has unveiled its sleek new laptop, the Vaio Z Canvas. Vaio Corporation was established in July 2014 when it was spun off from Sony.

Vaio says the Canvas laptop was designed for creative professionals. It features a Intel Core i7 processor, 12.3 -inch WQXGA+ screen and a digitizer stylus with 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. The keyboard has a kickstand and a wireless keyboard.

The Vaio Z Canvas is powered by Windows 10 Pro. It can be configured to have up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of hard drive storage. Other features include two USB 3.0 slots, HDMI output, SD memory card reader and mini DisplayPort.

Ryosuke Akahane, Executive Vice President, VAIO Corporation, says in the announcement, "After showcasing a prototype to creators at last year's Adobe MAX conference, we have received very positive feedback for the VAIO Z Canvas. We are excited to bring the VAIO Z Canvas to U.S. with the features that photographers, graphic artists, web designers and other creators need to unlock their artistic potential anywhere they go."

The Vaio Z Canvas has prices ranging from $2,199 to $3,099.
