Bradesco Seguros 2012 Christmas Tree in Rio

The world's tallest floating Christmas tree was lit on December 1st in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 17th Bradesco Seguros Christmas Tree weighs 542 tons and is 85 meters tall. It was lit during an amazing ceremony that featured fireworks and Brazilian singers Simone and Emilio Santiago. This year's theme was "Christmas Around the World."

Alexandre Nogueira, the Director of Grupo Bradesco Seguros, said in a statement, "It is an immense pleasure to offer everyone this symbol of Christmas that can move and unite people in celebration of the most fundamental human values."
