Yao Ming Retires at Age 30

Yao Ming, 30, announced today that he is officially retiring from basketball. The 7-foot, six-inch player made a big impact on the NBA. Ming has also become a superstar in China and helped increase the popularity of basketball in Asia. Ming says, "Although I'm leaving the basketball court, I'm not leaving basketball. I will continue my basketball life with the Shanghai Oriental Sharks. I'll use what I've learned to help my hometown team to bring happiness to basketball fans here." The general manager of the Houston Rockets traveled to Shanghai to bid farewell to Ming. Take a look:
