Zagat Releases First Pizza Survey: Pepperoni is America's Favorite Topping

Americans love pizza. In fact, most of us eat it once a week, according to restaurant guide Zagat's first-ever pizza survey. The most popular topping by far is pepperoni, with mushrooms coming in second. The most disliked pizza topping is anchovies:

1. Pepperoni
2. Mushrooms
3. Sausage
4. Onions
5. Ham / Prosciutto
6. Olives
7. Pepper
8. Extra Cheese
9. Spinach
10. Anchovies

The country's favorite styles of pizza are:

1. NY-style thin crust
2. Brick Oven
3. Neapolitan
4. Chicago-style deep dish
5. Sicilian
6. White Pizza
7. Grilled Pizza
8. Sheet Pan
9. Stuffed

Northeasterers tend to fold their pizza slices, those in the Midwest do not. The most expensive pizza by far is is on the West Coast. The Today Show's Al Roker takes a look at the results of the pizza poll:
