Blue Bell Ice Cream Delivery Trucks Back on the Road

Posted on August 12, 2015

Blue Bell has announced that its delivery trucks are back on the road again. The ice cream company's products were removed from store shelves on April 20th after some products were linked to a listeria outbreak.

Blue Bell shut down its production and the ice cream disappeared from store shelves. Some stores had big empty spaces where Blue Bell ice cream had once been. Then the shelves were filled with ice cream from lesser known brands that in our opinion was not nearly as tasty as Blue Bell. Now the ice cream is finally coming back.

Blue Bell shared this video of its trucks hitting the road for deliveries. The company says, "Our trucks are on the road again... And yes, they are filled with Blue Bell Ice Cream! We'll let you know soon when and where you can find our products in stores."

NBC 5 reports that ice cream production restarted last week at the company's Sylacauga, Alabama. It is not known when production will begin again at Blue Bell's Brenham, Texas and Oklahoma plants.

Blue Bell was unable to confirm an exact date when products will return to stores but the news delivery trucks are on the way is great news for Blue Bell fans. Hopefully, the delicious ice cream will soon be back on store shelves. Some of the flavors produced at the Alabama factory include Homemade Vanilla and Dutch Chocolate.
